This monumental edition collects all the daily comic strips that appeared in 1957 and 1958. Since his debut in 1951, Dennis Mitchell, better known as Dennis the Menace, has become one of the most popular children's characters in international comic history. With his innocent but unstoppable energy, Dennis constantly wreaks havoc in the lives of his parents and especially his neighbour Mr. Wilson. Hank Ketcham succeeded in observing the world of children with exceptional sharpness and humour. His drawing style is elegant and economical, while the humour is often subtle and recognisable to both children and adults. This complete edition shows the comic strip in its full maturity, in which the typical characters and situations take on their definitive form. Hank Ketcham (1920?2001) was an American cartoonist and comic strip artist who became world famous as the creator of the newspaper comic strip Dennis the Menace. He began his career as an animator at Walt Disney Studios before turning his full attention to cartooning. In 1951, he debuted the comic strip ?Dennis the Menace?, inspired by his own son Dennis. The comic strip was an instant success and eventually appeared in hundreds of newspapers worldwide. The character grew into a cultural icon, spawning television series, films, animated productions and countless publications. Ketcham continued to draw the comic strip until 1994, after which his studio continued the work.
