In dit boek wordt het langdurige onderzoeks- en experimenteerproces beschreven dat leidde tot een sculptuur waarbij twee kanonskogels tegen elkaar werden afgevuurd zodat zij in de lucht met elkaar in botsing komen. De auteur Hans Theys voert gesprekken met de kunstenaar over de jarenlange voorbereiding die aan het project voorafging. Daarbij komen technische, historische en artistieke aspecten aan bod, zoals de constructie van kanonnen, het gebruik van verschillende metaalsoorten, ontstekingsmechanismen en buskruit. The author Hans Theys talks to the artist about the years of preparation that preceded the project. Technical, historical and artistic aspects are discussed, such as the construction of cannons, the use of different types of metal, ignition mechanisms and gunpowder. At the same time, Theys places the experiment in a broader art-historical context and examines how this work can be understood within the tradition of sculpture.
