= Very good copy in original dustjacket of a rare wartime title. The second Miss Marple crime novel. The story revolves around the discovery of a young woman's murdered body in the library of Gossington Hall. No inscriptions or internal blemishes of note; upper pastedown with very small stamp. The original, unrestored dustjacket is chipped at spine-ends and has minimal wear at corners and along edges; rear panel a little soiled; th ered colouring in outer margin of front panel a bit sunbleached; rear-blurb fold torn at top for ca. 5 cm. The 7s 6d pricing is present to the inner flap. Cloth sunfaded along margins and shows a ghost of jacket-image due to former moisture.
