Monet und Camille: Frauenportraits in Impressionism is the official catalogue for the exhibition held at Kunsthalle Bremen from 15 October 2005 to 26 February 2006, focusing on female portraits in Impressionist art, particularly the role of Camille Doncieux, Claude Monet?s model and later wife. The publication brings together works by Monet alongside portraits of women by his contemporaries such as Renoir, Manet, Whistler and Degas, offering a wide perspective on changing female representation in late 19th century painting.
