Napoleone Martinuzzi was a master sculptor and the artistic director of Venini & Co. from 1925 to 1931. He is credited with reinventing Murano glass through his "pulegoso" (foambubble) glass technique and his bold, succulent-inspired plant sculptures and monumental vases.
The book features approximately 600 pieces of Martinuzzi’s work, including rare and previously unknown designs discovered in the Archivio Storico Venini. Contains stunning full-page color photographs, original factory drawings, and period signatures. Edited by Marina Barovier with contributions from leading glass historians like Rosa Barovier Mentasti.
