JVA 175 toont de architectonische wordingsgeschiedenis van het huis dat architect Reynoud Groeneveld (1933-2021) in 1967 samen met zijn vrouw Helly Oestreicher kocht. In enkele jaren tijd toverde hij het verwaarloosde huis om in een woonhuis waar hij zijn vooruitstrevende architectonische ideeën de vrije loop kon laten.
Aan de hand van talrijke overzichts- en detailfoto's laat het boek zien hoe de architect grote gebaren tot in het kleinste detail wist vorm te geven. Achterin het boek is een verhaal opgenomen waarin mede-samensteller, ontwerper en fotograaf Martien Frijns over de vriendschap tussen hem en Reynoud Groeneveld vertelt. Het boek eindigt met een kort maar krachtig overzicht van Reynoud Groenevelds werk in de publieke ruimte.
Dit boek was niet tot stand gekomen zonder de niet-aflatende hulp van Helly Oestreicher die ruim een jaar lang Martien Frijns in het huis liet ronddolen om er zijn impressies vast te leggen.
