Kent Murdock is a news photographer. He's a nice, charming, easygoing fellow with a gift for gab and a sharp, observant eye, just like you would expect from a photographer. He is sent on a routine assignment with Ralph Stacey, whom Murdock describes as a "reporter who works some with a camera." It turns out not to be so simple after all - their car is fired on, a mysterious young girl shows up with a gun at Stacey's apartment and demands incriminating photos of her brother, a beautiful, obviously rich woman arrives looking for Stacey - and then Stacey turns up dead. Murdock quickly discovers that Stacey was supplementing his salary with some blackmail on the side, and there were quite a few people who wanted him dead... (G+, mild wear and creasing)
