Op de titelpagina een afbeelding van een stadspoort met een klokketoren en een onderschrift op rijm. Op het voorplat de titel in een kader met typografische versiering. The Children's World of Learning 3805 (1e ed.): "A charming picture-book for children depicting the various activities at specific hours of the day. At five o'clock in the morning the cook starts lighting the fire in the kitchen and the maid brings in the water from the well (...) at midnight everyone in the town is asleep, except the night-watch. The plates were probably printed after the German originals by Th. Hosemann."
