Over 100 colour range maps as well as black-and-white illustrations aid identification. The extensive text summarizes the characteristics and natural history of each species, giving details on behaviour, nesting, geographic variation, distribution, vocalizations, and in-depth plumage descriptions for all age types.

externally few light rub marks bottom edge, a little light foxing top outer paper edges
