Catalogue to the exhibition of paintings by Quiringh Gerritsz. van Brekelenkam (1622-1669) from the Zderzak Collection in the Zderzak Gallery Archive in Kraków under the honorary patronage of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. This catalogue contains articles on the artist's life and environment, the painting of the fijnschilders from Leiden, the poetics of van Brekelenkam's painting, the discovery of his art in the 19th century, the culture of the Catholic minority in Protestant Leiden, the religious content of paintings, conservation issues, and the metalanguage of van Brekelenkam's art. Several topics are discussed for the first time in this context. The publication is published in a limited edition of 300 copies only.
