A man with his dog stands outside the farmhouse, while a woman sits nearby with a spindle. Etching on laid paper, made by Ferdinand Kobell after his own design. Sheet size 169 x 123 mm., platemark 132 x 88 mm., c. 1780 Ferdinand Kobell (Mannheim 1740 - 1799, Munich) was a German painter and printmaker. In very good condition, some stains in the top margin (not affecting image). An unidentified collection mark (Lugt 2644: monogramme WPL) stamped on the verso.
