The work is sumptuously produced, beautifully illustrated by highly reputed bird artist, George E. Lodge, and written in a leisurely style, with care and attention.
Condition books: clean and tight, complete and undamaged - vol. XII has a personal handwritten gift dedication dd. 1965 on cover page
Condition dust jackets: all have very light smudges on back and minor shelf wear along edges - Vol. III/VII/VIII have each one small tear - dj. of IV is somewhat wrinkled
