Fraaie 8-delige serie van John Gould over de vogels van Australië. Deze serie is voor het eerst uitgegeven in 1848. Dit exemplaar is de gelimiteerde facsimile editie, die in 1972 is uitgegeven door Lansdowne Press, Melbourne. Rijkelijk voorzien van 681 kleurentekeningen van John Gould. De serie is compleet met het supplement in volume 8 en met het Handbook to the Birds of Australia.

Conditie: Fraaie bruine kaften in zeer goede staat. Binding in zeer goede staat. Enkele delen hebben aan de zijkant wat lichte roestvorming. Volume 5 heeft op de titelpagina een stuk tape ivm beschadiging pagina. Volume 6 heeft onderaan op een aantal pagina’s wat vlekjes/kringetjes. Goede tot zeer goede serie.
