The Atlantis magazine is a printed publication edited by graduate students from the Urbanism track at the Technical University in Delft, Netherlands. Four issues, published throughout the academic year, discuss topics related to urban design and planning as well as landscape architecture. Atlantis discusses current trends within practice and academia as it juxtaposes the work of students, academics and professionals. Benefiting from the richness of international students and faculty members at the TU Delft, Atlantis is a platform for critical reflection and knowledge exchange between the faculty-based education and international practice.
Atlantis further informs all members of the study association Polis on its recent and future activities, events and projects.
The themes of this year’s 24th volume emphasize the reciprocity between spatial development and socio-cultural dynamics. The societal significance of the urban practice as well as the changing responsibility of the urban designer and planner are re-occurring subjects for reflection.
