For many years Paul Boens and his wife Jacqueline Kranenvitter managed the Musée Arthur Rimbaud in Roche, which they founded themselves, on the site of the estate of Rimbauds mother - later it was bought by rock star Patti Smith. Added: postcard of the washing place in Roche, where Rimbaud is said to have written Le bateau ivre. It shows the first two lines of a poem from this collection of verse: 'Hommage à Rimbaud, Cést à Roche qu'un jour l'enfant fut éblouis par l'éclair qui jaillit précocemant en lui'.
