2014 2e editie
Much sought after debut by Théo Gosselin. This book is only rarely offered.
The intentional filmic photography by Gosselin shows friends who are about to escape their ordinary lives, searching for new seductive and dangerous life styles, always looking for the persistent though elusive idea of freedom. Presented in a hardcover book in a limited print run, the second edition was only 1,000 copies.
Although they clearly owe their thanks to photographers Ryan McGinley, Nan Goldin and Larry Clark, the designers in Théo Gosselins images, contrary to the self-declared 'pseudo-fiction' of McGinley's work, more friends than models, the situations are not mythical constructions, though a glimpse of an underground life style in a post-9 /11- and post-AIDS world, in which social media have troubled the border between public and private, and between being documented and being normal.
