Late 19th.-c. maroon halfleather extra bindings, with gilt titles. Top edge of spines damaged, edges rather rubbed /worn, hinges fuly split (but sides still firmly bound with cords). Very acceptable copy.

A book of very interesting anecdotes which those gems as Afraid of the sheriff at ..., Prickles in the criticism, curious finance hearings, drawing an inference, Dunning as a profession, bonfire of the debtor's papers, bankrupt in Batavia and other gems always interesting and often humorous.
