After school (Bryanston) he studied Dental Surgery at Guys Hospital, and earned a Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He studied on at the Postgraduate Medical Federation until his parents died in a car accident in 1965. He then gave it all up to follow his family profession and became one of London’s most famous art dealers. At present he is living in Switzerland. Memoriesof a London Art Dealer is the distillation of a lifetime’s experience and expertise in the art world.Neither an autobiography nor a traditional memoir, the book consists of reflections, anecdotes, telling conversations, encounters, touches of humour and a choice selection of the triumphs and disasters, heroes and villains encountered by an accidental art dealer.
