Cahier Vincent 1 is devoted to the poetry albums which Vincent van Gogh compiled for his brother Theo and for the artist Matthijs Maris. Also included are Van Gogh's entries in the visitor's book of Annie Slade-Jones, the wife of an English clergyman, and some isolated poems and prose fragments which may orginally have been enclosed with Vincent's letters. Commentary and introductions in English. The poems (of well known poets) are not translated, but the remarks that Vincent made himself are translated in English.
