These stamps feature watercolours, painted by the Prince, of well-known landscapes in Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and England.
His watercolour of Chirk Castle (Castell Y Waun), seen on the 19p stamp, highlights the commanding view occupants of the castle have enjoyed down the centuries in this beautiful area of Clwyd, North Wales. By way of contrast, his painting of Ben Arkle in Sutherland for the 25p stamp portrays the more rugged grandeur of the Scottish Highlands seen in full sunlight.
Celebrated in a well-known song, the picturesque Mountains of Mourne in County Down, Northern Ireland, were the focus of the Prince's view for the 30p stamp. One of his favourite perspectives at Sandringham in Norfolk, England is captured on the 35p stamp, which shows the view of Dersingham and beyond to the Wash, while the 41p stamp features the castle at Dolwyddelan in Gwynedd, yet another part of the rich heritage of North Wales.
