Amsterdam, Adam Meyer, 1763, klein 8vo., full leather binding, 192 pp., good condition, the first signature, including the title page, is printed in red and black and contains symbols to convey the moon cycle and is richly illustrated with 12 engravings, some have been partly coloured by hand. Each engravig is accompanied by a saying, for instance: "Was hier de sloot niet tusschen beyden, wy zoude niet lang zyn gescheyden" (If there was no water between us, we wouldn't be apart for long) and "Geen erger stryd als om de broek, want elk vecht dan even kloek" (No battle as intense, as the one deciding who wears the pants, because both battle just as fierce).
