Not only have new vehicles and new types taken to the road, but policy has changed, and the effects of this will be considerable. The double-deck bus, as known today in the London Transport Board's fleet, will be phased out, its place being taken by one-man-operated double-deckers and one-man-operated high capacity single-deckers.
