Almanac for 1847 with astrology, astronomy, distances, anecdotes (a.o. about Zachary Tailor), postage rates, court sessions, recipes and fascinating advertisements ('Daguerrotype Goods', 'Stockton's Teeth, 20,000 well assorted' both from druggist William Bristol in Utica. George Roberts Perkins (1812-1876), who is mentioned as the author on the title page, was professor of mathematics in New York State Normal School from 1844-1852, and an author on both mathematics and astronomy.
