The fiction story shows the army life during the 1940s when CPC and KTM were locked in the civil war. It touches on many aspects of the soldiers life, including their love stories which are rarely seen before. In late autumn, 1946, the Reformed No. 74 Division, an ace troop of the Kuomintang began to attack our liberated area crazily. East China liberation army, the troop under the command of Zhao Zhenxin rose to resist the attack and through arduous struggle, our army was forced to retreat and turned to the north to Shandong so as to implement the strategic transfer. The failure in battle and retreating from the familiar homeland make the thought of the troops be depressed. Shen Zhenxin also felt heavy. He was restless, lost temper. The hatred to the enemies and worry about failure made this brave and valiant military officer lost his normal life order and living state.
