There is an illustration on the titlepage, and 4 pages with engravings depicting various animals (plates 9-12). This copy was a awarded to miss A. de Ranitz by the "Institut pour de jeunes demoiselles sous la direction de S.J.A. Luymes née Gampert te Harderwijk" (prijsband). There is a fold out official document of this award (prix), with red wax seal, sewn with the bookblock. This document is dated to 30-06-1842 and is signed by president G. Lamers and the secretary.
