I am too old to fear death at the hands of Muslims who may pick-up the sword of 'jihad' against me; and know as well as all writers over many centuries who strove for Freedom and Human Rights, that violence instead of debate and honest self-scrutiny is a sign of weakness and defeat, and prove of yet another dictatorship burning books and their authors who speak the 'unbearable truth about us'. This poetry is a call for FREEDOM, a call to stop mass-oppression in Islamic countries, to erase the cruel punishments from the 'sharia' and to stop persecuting people because they cannot believe in the God in the Koran.
