This special book tides over a period of thirty years and show how the role of product design has evolved through the work of Enthoven Associates, an internationally operating design consultancy in Antwerp, led by Alain Denis, Axel Enthoven and Jean-Pierre Geelen. The services of design consultants have thoroughly changed, and the same goes for design itself: from the vision of an individual designer to the combined expertise of the members of a team, from a more artistic view on products from the daily life to a much more complex added value that combines art with technology or ethical values with marketing concepts.
